About

The Blog

"Cooking with B.S." was founded in May 2012 when a professional photographer and a cook decided to join forces and create what the LA Times would later call, "a blog". Since then a cornucopia of original dishes and new recipes have been created. Their long-term goal for this outlet is to finally meet Betty Crocker or at least the Pillsbury dough boy.

Brian Staffield

The Cook

Brian Staffield started cooking at a young age. After eating spaghetti for every other dinner throughout his youth, one night he took his parent's advice, "If you don't like what we're having for dinner, you can cook something yourself." So he did. Soon his parents would discover that his cooking was better than their own and would try to get him to cook dinner at every chance they had.

Since those early days, his cooking skills have gotten slightly better. His culinary skills are available for hire for parties, picnics, corporate events, and iron chef battles. He works as a freelance food writer and recipe developer.
